Jigsaw pupils get new Trim Trail

Following an incredibly generous donation of £7,600 from St Faith’s Trust, Jigsaw’s pupils can now enjoy an exciting new addition to one of their playgrounds.

The new trim trail was recently installed in Oak Playground and forms the first part of a major playground overhaul across Jigsaw School.

The trim trail includes a log roll, suspension bridge, step logs and rope bridge all set on a new playground friendly surface made from rubber mulch.

Jigsaw’s pupils have been heavily involved, through the School Council, in deciding what pieces of equipment they wanted to see.  As well as providing a valuable opportunity for play, the Trim Trail encourages pupils to spend time outdoors and to our energy into a variety of activities essential to their development.  Pupils are able to participate in turn taking activities, practice large motor movements, co-ordination and balance skills in fun and engaging scenarios using this new equipment.

Jigsaw are currently seeking funding to install new equipment for both our Early Years and main playground areas, so do watch this space…
