We’re excited to announce we’ve received an ‘EXCELLING’ accreditation from Innovating Minds, a UK-wide, multi-award winning social enterprise, placing mental health at the centre of educational and community settings ensuring children and young people can access support at the earliest point possible.
Training is based upon recommendations from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and the Department for Education (DfE), this highest accreditation marks as notable the work being done within Jigsaw to develop and embed a ‘whole-school’ approach to mental health ensuring support for our pupils, staff and other caregivers.
Senior Mental Health Lead and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead at Jigsaw School, Meredith Wightman, said “I’m really proud of the work that we have been doing here at Jigsaw to support a positive and open-hearted culture around mental health and wellbeing. This accreditation is testament to the work that our Safeguarding, ELSA, Therapy and Curriculum Planning teams are doing in this space along with the willingness of our wider staff team to embrace the value and importance of this subject.”
