The Junior Captain of Cranleigh Golf and Country Club has chosen Jigsaw as his adopted charity – and has already raised £325 from his first event. Fourteen-year-old Leo Wilson organised a golf day, sponsored by local estate agent Roger Coupe, which will enable us to buy some new bikes for our playgrounds.
The money was raised by a raffle and donations for refreshments at the golf day.
Leo, who attends Glebelands School in Cranleigh, will lead other events for Jigsaw during his two years as Junior Captain.
He recently visited Jigsaw to learn more about autism and tour the school to see pupils and staff at work.
We congratulate Leo on becoming captain and send our huge thanks for choosing to support Jigsaw and organising this highly successful first event. The new bikes will help pupils build their confidence, independence and balance skills.
Thanks also go to our good friends at Roger Coupe for sponsoring the golf day.
