Local schools brainstorm Jigsaw fundraising

Pupils from Broadwater School in Godalming and Duke of Kent School in Ewhurst paid recent visits to Jigsaw for lively brainstorming sessions on fundraising. Broadwater School had already just presented a cheque for a brilliant £433 from a World Autism Awareness Day event, and both schools took away other ideas they will be considering.

Broadwater School had invited us in to take part in an assembly, where a cheque was presented to Jigsaw Fundraising Officer Sally Ward. The money was raised as sponsorship for a mufti day, when pupils and staff dressed in blue to support World Autism Awareness Day in April.

Both schools have committees of Year 10 pupils who meet to discuss fundraising and charities they might support. Members of these committees visited Jigsaw for a tour and to learn about what we do and to take part in the inspiring brainstorming sessions with the Jigsaw fundraising team. We were hugely impressed with the pupils’ enthusiasm and ideas.

Massive thanks go to the pupils and staff at Broadwater School and Duke of Kent School for their great support.
